Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Text entered into a site search tool is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its result. Atchison County Court Docket does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you email us, the message may be kept for the time needed to answer and maintain the related correspondence. It is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Routine server and analytics records may capture technical information when a page loads:
- Your device's IP address
- Browser name and version
- Device category and operating system
- Pages viewed and approximate time spent
- The referring website, when available
- Date and time of each request
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small device files that help measure how visitors move through the site. Analytics providers may aggregate page traffic, popular content, and exit patterns. Browser controls can block or remove cookies, although doing so may change how some features work.
What We Do With This Data
Collected information is used only for ordinary operation and improvement of the service.
- Operating the website and improving load performance
- Routing a voluntary search to the applicable partner
- Understanding which pages visitors use
- Diagnosing errors, abuse, and security problems
- Supporting advertising that may reflect user interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Atchison County Court Docket does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of Kansas court dockets or personal case information. It publishes reference material about records held by Bria Pouy, Clerk of the District Court, Atchison County, municipal clerks, and the Kansas Judicial Branch CaseSearch system. Rule 22 and Rule 106B govern public electronic court-record access through official Kansas channels. The Kansas Open Records Act may apply to existing agency records, but this private site is not the court custodian. Visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside businesses power the site's search tools. Information submitted to a partner is controlled by that partner's privacy terms, retention choices, and disclosure practices. Those rules may differ from this policy and are not controlled by Atchison County Court Docket. Review the partner's policy before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Atchison County offices, Kansas court portals, municipal pages, legal resources, or outside search tools. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's policy applies. Read it before sharing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own technology to recognize activity across websites and select ads. That processing occurs on provider systems and follows provider terms.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal information is not sold. Limited information may be available to:
- A search partner receiving a query the user submits
- Analytics vendors measuring traffic and performance
- Advertising networks serving page advertisements
- Government or law-enforcement authorities acting under a valid legal demand
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, commonly used safeguards are applied to information under our control. No internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security, however. Measures intended to reduce risk do not amount to a promise that an incident can never occur.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults and does not knowingly seek personal information from anyone younger than 18. If information from a minor is identified, it may be deleted after notice and reasonable verification.
Your Data Rights
Rights can vary with a user's residence and the law that applies. Kansas consumer-protection law, including the Kansas Consumer Protection Act, K.S.A. 50-623 et seq., may provide remedies for covered practices. Rule 22, Rule 106B, and the Kansas Open Records Act concern access to official Kansas records and do not turn this site into their custodian. Subject to applicable law, a user may:
- Request a copy of personal information held about them
- Ask that inaccurate information be corrected
- Request deletion of eligible information
- Object to or opt out of processing where a legal right applies
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised as practices, services, or legal requirements change. A revised version will be posted here with its new effective date, and continued use after posting is subject to that version.
